The Book of Mormon

Wow! It was so great to talk to my family yesterday! There is nothing better. One hour felt like 5 minutes. It was really interesting to speak in English...to talk to English people. Yes, I am here in New Jersey, and I am still in America, but it is still odd since I spend 99% of my time with Hispanics.
This last week I went and got a blood test for my thyroid. I have been feeling extremely tired and just a little bit off, so I called the mission nurse and she instructed me to get a blood test as soon as possible. This morning I received the results from the doctor: Negative. As far as my thyroid goes, everything looks right as rain.

I also finished The Book of Mormon today in my personal study!!! That is a true book. As I was reading The Book of Mormon this time, it felt different. I felt the power that it contains every time I would read it. During lunch and dinner breaks, I would find myself opening it up just to read more. Just like many of you have favorite novels or adventure series that you just can't get enough of, my experience with The Book of Mormon is exactly the same. In the 6th paragraph of The Book of Mormon, Joseph Smith states, "I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book". I know that to be true. I have seen myself come closer to Christ as I read. It's amazing how one book, 531 pages, can change your life in this life and alter your course for the life to come.

I add my witness to that of Joseph Smith that it is the most correct book of any on the earth. I know The Book of Mormon is true. I have grown to love it. I encourage all of you to read it. Read it every day. Learn from it. Apply its teachings. And then watch your life change for the better.

How blessed we are to have this book. Don't take it for granted.

I love you all!
